I believe full-body strength training is the most effective and efficient way to achieve a lean physique…I’ve been using this system with my private clients so I know it works.

I’ve been a personal trainer for over 25 years and I know that when we here BASIC….we might think BORING.
Building strength and lean muscle requires repetition. But that doesn’t mean we can’t make it enjoyable!!

Hi! I'm Jen Kirsch

I'm an online certified personal trainer and nutrition coach. 
I am also a 52 year old woman, wife and mom of 3.

I've had my share of unexpected midlife curveballs, setbacks and hormonal mayhem so I know some of what you are up against when trying to make changes to your body in midlife. 

I've created STRONGER U with you in mind. 

You see, I've been coaching fitness for over 28 years, and since then I've trained hundreds of women using many of the same techniques you'll find in STRONGER U so I know what it can do for you, and I also know how to get you noticeable results.

I’ve devoted my coaching practice to women over 40 because our struggles are unique.

We aren’t “old” but those one size fits all programs just aren’t the right fit for us.

One of the most common struggles I hear is: "My body has changes in midlife and what used to work, isn’t working anymore”

I wholeheartedly believe that strength training has the power to not only change your physique, but your quality of life.

This isn’t just my opinion…there are studies that prove this!

If you’ve been following me on social media you know that I am not just creating content for Instagram.

I’m not a trainer who sits on my phone sharing workouts in REELS. (Although it does engage my creative side!)

I’m a trainer who’s in the gym and online working with real people. 

My oldest client is 80, and my youngest client is 47. I train mostly women (and some guys too) with all sorts of different goals. Empty nesters, retirees, busy professionals, golfers, hikers, bikers and yogis.


One of the things that I’m most proud about as a trainer is that I’m still training some very dedicated clients that have been with me for over 20 years and they are still making gains and inspiring me daily!

I’m all in for strength, I guess I love the challenge of it. I had to take a break from HIIT training so doing more strength felt really good and I am happy to have made the switch… even though there are days when I’m reluctant to press play 🤣

IS THIS A BEGINNER LEVEL PROGRAM?

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

These workouts are self paced. You’ll receive a video demonstration along with a PDF and a workout tracker so you can track your progress from week to week. If you need to work at a slower pace or increase your rest time…this program allows you to do that. It also allows for customization for those who are ready to advance in the program based on fitness level.

HOW DIFFICULT ARE THESE WORKOUTS?

The closed group is hosted on Facebook and it is a great way to get access to your questions on form or modifications you might need. It's also a great way to connect with other members of the community and women participating in this program! 

WHAT ABOUT THE CLOSED COMMUNITY? IS THAT ON FACEBOOK

If you have been cleared by your doctor or your PT for regular exercise then yes this is a great starting point. Part of the benefit of this program is you get a lot of guidance on how to coach yourself and know when its time to advance or scale back a movement. In this way you can customize these workouts to just about any level.


I'VE HAD SOME INJURIES AND WILL NEED MODIFICATIONS. CAN I STILL DO THIS PROGRAM?

This is a dumbbell based program so you will need weights to do the program.
 I get asked a lot what size...so to start 2 sets...one medium and one heavy 'for you'. You don't need a full gym for this program...if you find that the weights you have aren't going to work once you start the program...you can always get what you need pretty quickly at a big box retailer. Most of them carry weights. Facebook Marketplace also has some good deals. 

I occasionally incorporate a sturdy chair or coffee table if you need/want to use but its not a requirement for the program.

WHAT EQUIPMENT IS NEEDED?

This 6 program is a hybrid of written PDF (print and go or just view on your computer tablet or phone with a clickable link to video demonstration. Every workout has a unique short form video tutorial with pointers on form and execution so you can be sure you are doing the exercises properly for maximum effectiveness.

ARE THESE FOLLOW ALONG VIDEOS LIKE YOUR OTHER PROGRAMS?

You can start this program at ANY time. 

DO I HAVE TO START ON A PARTICULAR DAY?

Yes! This program will be stored in the portal with your account and unique password.

WHAT IS THE RETURN POLICY?

If your goal is to see improvements in your physique and strength, I encourage you to follow a systematic approach which is what I have laid out in this program. Doing random workouts is tempting, but it's not the best way to progress. While there is benefit to getting your heart rate up and getting a good sweat, it's not the best strategy for building lean muscle. To make this easy for you I’ve included a schedule to follow so you never have to wonder what to do and when!

DO I HAVE TO FOLLOW THIS PROGRAM AS WRITTEN OR CAN I GO OUT OF ORDER?

Apps offer convenience but they aren't the best for actual coaching where you get direct access to the trainer.  This is a point which I set myself apart in that you get quality instruction from a seasoned trainer with experience training actual people in the gym Unfortunately this is not always the case with the app based programs as far as 'real world' experience on the part of the trainer presenting the workout. That said you may post to the closed community for your questions and concerns.


HOW IS THIS DIFFERENT THAN JUST DOING A STRENGTH VIDEO ON YOUTUBE OR THE PELOTON APP?

DO I RETAIN ACCESS?


Consistency really is key to seeing results in any fitness program. Workouts are 20-40 minutes 4 times per week so the time commitment is minimal. and many of these workouts I offer you the option to shorten them especially for those days when you were pressed on time.…. That said: if the issue is a vacation or business trip...or you get sick for a few days you can jump back in.

Keep in mind the core and many of the HIIT workouts are all bodyweight based so you’ll have something you can do in a pinch as well!! 

CAN YOU GIVE ME AN IDEA OF THE TIME COMMITMENT?

STRONGER U is different in that its not follow along workouts for the entire duration of the workout. (If thats what you'd prefer you can reach out to me and check out my other programs). STRONGER U serves as a 6 week program that can be customized to just about any level. There are low impact HIIT workouts and CORE that can be added to your strength days as a 'finisher' or done on a 4th day. Totally up to you!

What if I've done your other programs like 2.0, or 3.0 etc...will this be too easy?
